Getting started

AI Thumbnail Maker generates video thumbnail images from a written prompt and the reference images you supply, so you can produce a cover for the next upload without opening an editor.

Write a prompt describing the thumbnail you want.
Add any reference images you want the result to draw on.
Generate, compare and refine the prompt.
Download the thumbnail you picked.

There is no signup step. An account is created for you when you install the app, so you can start straight away.

Common questions

Do I need design skills?

No. You describe the thumbnail in words and add references if you have them.

Will any text on the image be spelled correctly?

Not necessarily. Text inside a generated image is drawn by an image model and can come out misspelled or garbled. Check any wording before you publish the thumbnail.

Can I use the thumbnails commercially?

You keep the rights to the images you upload and to the thumbnails the app generates for you. You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you upload as a reference.

Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds

Where you are billed. Paid plans are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. The price and the renewal terms are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
Cancelling. On iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the period you paid for ends.
Refunds. Ask the store. We do not hold your payment method and cannot refund you directly. We never see or store your card number.
Restoring a purchase. If you have paid but the app does not show the plan, use the restore option on the purchase screen while signed in to the same store account you bought with.

When a generation fails or looks wrong

Check your connection and try again — generation runs on our servers, so the app needs to reach them.
Give the model more to work on: a sharper, better-lit photo, or a more specific description.
Generate again. Output is probabilistic, so a second attempt with the same input can give a noticeably better result.
Results are not guaranteed to be accurate. Thumbnails are produced by an image model. Any text rendered inside a generated image can be misspelled or wrong, and likenesses, logos and products can be reproduced inaccurately. Review a thumbnail before you publish it, and only upload reference images you have the right to use.

Account and data

There is no signup. We do not ask for your name or your email address, and there is no password to lose. Your account is created anonymously from your installation of the app.
Deleting your account. Write to privacy@blwapps.com. The deletion page explains what to include, what is removed and what is kept.
Your privacy rights. Access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection — write to privacy@blwapps.com. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
Where your data is. On our own servers at Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland, inside the EU.
